Madison Christian Academy Acquires New School Building
by Anonymous

Richmond, KY July 16, 2004 -– Madison Christian Academy, a leader in private Christian education in Madison County, has acquired the property and building formerly belonging to The First Church of the Nazarene and Little Lambs Learning Center at 136 Aspen Avenue in Richmond, KY. The announcement of the purchase was made today by Melinda Lawrence, Administrator and founder of the private Christian school.

Madison Christian Academy was started in 2001 with the purpose of providing children with the quality education that private schools are respected for in a Christian atmosphere that cultivates learning. Since its inception, the school has experienced tremendous growth. Space soon became a serious problem as the school began to outgrow the capacity of the former location. Realizing that a larger building was needed to sustain the school's growth, Mrs. Lawrence began the search to find a new building that was right for the school.

"We believe that finding this building was God's providence," commented Mrs. Lawrence. "This building was put up for sale at the right time, was in the right location, at the right price and more than meets all the current needs of a growing school. Everything just seemed to fall into place." The new location will allow Madison Christian Academy to expand its services to include Preschool and an after school program for students and siblings of students.

Mrs. Lawrence also announced that many enhancements have been made to the MCA website. Parents can now submit applications for enrolling new students on the web site and can securely pay their fees and tuition online using a credit card. The school's web site can be found at http://www.madisonchristianacademy.org.

Classes are now available for Preschool through 12th grade. Classes for the 2004/2005 school year begin on August 23rd at the new location. A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for Friday, August 6th at noon. MCA will host an open house from 1:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday and from 9:00 am until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 7th.

For additional information contact the school at 859-623-6229.
